Chloe Thompson

Chloe Thompson began her academic journey at Florida State University in 2013, double majoring in English Literature and Political Science. During her time at FSU, she not only excelled academically but also found a passion for fostering strong communities through her involvement in the Intramurals program. She graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science, determined to pursue a legal career. Eager to gain hands-on experience, Chloe graduated ahead of schedule to work as a receptionist at a plaintiffs’ firm—an early step in building her foundation as an attorney. Her dedication to the legal profession ultimately led her to Mercer Law School in Macon, GA.

Advocacy & Leadership at Mercer Law

At Mercer, Chloe was an active member of the Association of Women Law Students (AWLS), where she served as both a mentor and mentee, helping to advance women in the legal field. She was also involved in Phi Alpha Delta (PAD), a professional law fraternity, where she demonstrated integrity, compassion, and a commitment to service within the legal community.

Hands-On Legal Experience

While in law school, Chloe gained valuable courtroom experience through the “2L Practice Act,” working at the Macon-Bibb Public Defender’s Office. In the “major felony” division, she represented indigent clients, argued bond motions, and appeared in court, solidifying her dedication to justice.

Chloe further honed her skills at Buzzell, Welsh, and Hill, a plaintiffs’ firm specializing in workers’ compensation and personal injury cases. There, she worked closely with clients, advocating for those harmed by negligence and injustice.

Beyond the Courtroom

Outside of her legal work, Chloe is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, lake outings, attending Braves games, staying active in the gym, reading, and traveling. Her loyal 23-pound cat, Louie, is her constant companion.
